Momento of a moment

Monday, March 30th, 2009

I sat by the window sill and gazed across the window to the vast sky that was hung like a blanket in the skies. Spotted little gems known as stars decorate the dark giving hope to little children singing twinkle twinkle to them.

I moved from the windowsill and sat on my uninviting bed. It was cold and bitter and the mere thought of what had just happened brought floods of tears to my eyes.

Slowly, tenderly, gently, the dam broke and droplets of tears damped my cheeks as they rolled down defying all determinations I had in me holding them back.

Unable to refrain myself any longer I let them pour knowing deep down inside I needed this. I needed to let go, no matter how hard it was, no matter how much my heart was tearing inside of me. I had to let go.

As the tears subsided, as I calmed myself down, once again, I gazed at the sky above through my window.

Slowly I walked back to the windowsill and looked up at the stars that filled the velvet sky.

Unable to contain myself, the words blurted out from my lips “Why oh why didn’t I polish my car today.. the weather was God damn beautiful …”

If only I could turn back time…

1 decade and plus a year

If I had met you then

You won’t feel fear

I won’t see tears

1 decade and plus a year

If we had known each other

There wont be pain

Things would’ve been sane

1 decade and plus a year

If only things were different

Where would we be?

How could have things been?

1 decade and plus a year

If only I could turn back time

Would things be different

Would we still be smitten?

my 2nd langkawi trip

Sunday, March 15th, 2009

its amazing how i have been fortunate enough to have a vacation every month since Jan 2008. I guess heading off to Hawaii was a fantastic start for me.

Well highlights of my Langkawi trip this time (am gonna make this short yeah):

- lost my handphone (SE960i that my baby bought for my birthday, fell in the sea)

- got drunk. ha ha .. not new eh? actually no it is new for me, considering it gets tough to get me drunk. I just refused to use my secret weapon to ensure I am not drunk. anyway that was good fun

- passed my name cards around to people.. and made friends.. as usual

- bonded with my gal friends… i love them to bits and i know they do

- took a Nissan Sentra and we all three drove around Langkawi and now… I know Langkawi so well that I CAN BRING YOU AROUND.

- chilled at Datai, Andaman and the Westin

- happily walked around in my Biks :)
- it was totally memorable…

Kl - Siem Reap - Phnom Penh - KL

Yeah yeah.. All you want to know about my Cambodian trip is right here.. Well, almost ALL. Ha ha ha.

Contagious Concepts (The Co I am currently working at) head up to Cambodia on 26th Feb for our company trip and “I want to get to know you better, closer” session. Just so you know, there are some things that happened in Cambodia remains in Cambodia. Yeah your imaginations can go wild ha ha

Anyway, we arrived in Siem Reap early morning at 8am, and met our wonderful quirky and VERY funny guide, Camera (yes that is his name) and his sister, an aspiring tour guide. Oh and his favourite words were :”Oh my god!”

Once up on the bus, we went over to check out some interesting places kicking off with the Silk factory, where we saw real and silk worms that were alive in boiling water,  and that is how they actually do the woven silks. Very skillful lah these people. (and cruel)

Anyway .. all i can say is that I really enjoyed the vegetables in Cambodia. All crunchy and yummy!

The first day in Siem Reap was quite tiring as we had the whole day planned out with lots of outings. And no partying that night. We were all exhausted!

Second day was fun! We head over to ANGKOR wat.. yes.. the ANGKOR WAT. Here, Contagious team had a fab time! we took choreographed pictures, Julian clowned around, Adrian had some amazing shots with the camera, I was talking with soo many Caucasians (as usual) & some Japanese kekekek. Julie was my model whenever I found a good shot. Surej was as usual being a real nut cracker and Tesh, despite his quiet deposition, had equal laughs to share.

When I have the time, I promise will upload some pics.. Think some are up, with me tagged (FB) on em :)
Anyway, second day, after the tiring tour, we decided that we must party in Siem Reap. We went out to a drinking hole and the boys had beer and us gals had some cocktails. The best part about the cocktails is that it was soo thick and yummy that I had a nice warm feeling after every sip. Yum Yum.

Hmm lets say… that I was.. err.. quite high that night.. But I sure did have fun. Oh and another thing.. I noticed the club we were dancing that many people cant really dance. Some people actually moved away when Contagious hit the dance floor… kekekek

The next day was an early morning ride on the LIMOUSINE bus to Phnom Penh. Thanks to all the RedBull Vodka I had the previous night, I was amazingly Hyper (hello, don say i am already hyper ok). So i hardly had any sleep on the bus :(
But once in Phnom Penh, all sleep forgotten. We went touring! Saw the palace, did not see the king, think he shy lah. ha ha.. then we went to casino donated some money to the people of Cambodia through Naga Casino, ha ha.. then took a whole bunch of photos before heading back to the hotel and mandi-ying.

After that we hit the Tuk Tuks and went to check out the night scene. Nothing much. So we went and had HAPPY PIZZA. Pizza with a Happy herb in it, just in case you did not know what it was.   No effect also!

Came back, sleep and the next day was pure shopping at the Russian Market. I was so dissapointed to see no Russians there.. but boy were the clothes cheap! Ori Banana Republic, Zara, MNG, Abercrombie Fitch were all on sale. But they were rejected items (WHo cares!) and it only cost like RM10 per T. Cool eh?

Sigh.. the trip was over before we can even digest it.. But is that not the way with every holidays? As a conclusion, please go to Cambodia if you don’t mind DUST, dirt and poverty. But if you are into some adventure, I assure you that you will find some in Cambodia. I know I did. For full story, message me lah!

Peace!
