Walk down memory lane… Never Forget

I am sure a lot of your have your favourite band or singer. I have and had some. To start I am still mersmerised by Take That. Yes, I am one of those teeny boppers who used to go crazy over boy bands, but when you walk down that memory lane once again and refresh your memory by looking at pictures and videos… you have this curve on your lips that can only say one thing “Ahhh those sweet memories.. those days”

I was priviledged in my life to meet some of the boy bands whom I still listen to these days, but never have I ever met the ultimate boy band in my life, Take That.

I remember those days in the late 1990s and early 2000s when my best friend and I used to roam Sungai Wang hunting for the latest Smash Hits Mag, Popstars, Galaxie, TOTP, and so much more.

We used to flip through the magazines and just look at the contents, high contents on boy bands, we boy, else we ditch! Yes, that was how we were.

And right after that, we used to head down to McD’s and makan, talk about life, and look at men :) (or boys, since we were pretty young then)

I used to come home after those trips, read the magazine(s) in a day, and the next thing you know, I will sit down and cut down ALL the pictures of Mark Owen, 911, Caught in The Act, Spice Girls, Manchester United (namely Ryan Giggs, Cantona & Becks), Boyzone and Code Red and keep them in my books.

Their posters, I used to plast them ALL over my walls. I have some pictures of my room in the old days that you can’t even see the walls. The only concrete you could see was the ceiling (I could not reach there, else I would have plastered with posters too)

My mom detested entering my room. I still remember… My college bag was signed by  Code Red and the phone in my room too. Autographed materials meant the world to me at that time, and meeting them was like a feeling being at the top of the world.

Now, when I look at the videos by Take That namely, how I wish I could go back to that tiny room of mine, having all these gorgeous men looking at me everyday. Ha ha wishful thinking, I know.

Jokes aside, I still keep all my CDs safe and I treasure them so much. Especially the boy bands. Laugh all you want, but for me, my boy bands rule! Especially Take That. Thank God, they are resurrected and now I still have a chance to meet them or at least see them perform live :)
And here is a video… I want to share with you all, its by Take That (duh!) in 1994 in a sold out concert (all their concerts were sold out anyway) my fav boy (then) Mark Owen performing Babe. This is one of my all time life performances ever! Enjoy or cringe! ha ha
