Something new everyday

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

What I have been learning in the past is that you somehow learn something new everyday, and never a day ceases with you thinking, hey i did not know that…

What I learnt in the past few days are:

1) You can have a ridiculously expensive lunch with really close friends - Michelle gave us (Nic, min huey and i) a dim sum lunch treat at Sime Darby Convention Centre, and guess how much the bill was? A whopping RM540! Some of you may ask "what the hell did you guys eat like that lah" Well, it was like 27 plates of dim sum (yes we managed to finish all, despite the grunts and complaints that we are so not gonna let michelle order the next time) and 4 bowls of some double boiled soup that comes at RM60 per bowl.. eat that!

2) You can speak in a foreign language to a friend while you are at a dinner table where no one in their bloody minds would understand what the f*** you are saying, and maybe, just maybe, where you come from that may not seem so rude. - was out with my bf’s family and friends at Jake’s place in Damasara. One of his (my bf’s uncle, Alex - yes some of you KNOW him- ) friend’s wife (i think) happily invited her friend. Apparently her friend is new to town. And once she arrived, she was introduced to the whole gang of about 8, and guess what, the two of them were busy chatting purely in Russian, despite the fact that no one there (except me of course) understood a word. How rude!

3) Introducing your boyfriend to the rest of the 100 over Italian -like family members of yours, may be a break or make of your relationship - yes brought my bf back to my hometown in Kuala Selangor as since I have been going out with him for 2 years, I think it is about time i intro him to the rest. Anyway, he was a charmer, as usual. It was the annual temple prayers and most of them, apparently was looking forward to meeting him - what I learned? That i really despise some of them in the family - hey Chech no worries, you nolah, you know we both have a love and hate relationship.. ha ha ha (chech is my sister by the way)

now on a Sunday afternoon at 5.05 here i am in the office updating my blog,. quite sad, i use my personal time to do my other non-office stuff in the office, model staff i am!

ps: tying in my new room while my car is parked downstairs using my complimentary parking space given by the co.. cooolllll!!!!

So much to do, so little pay!

Being an artiste manager actually takes alot of patience, and little did I know that I actually HAD that patience *notice the past tense*.

Been hectic as usual, I got a breather today because:

1) my boss is not in

2) I have meeting the whole day

3) I decided to have fruits in the office so I can use my 1 hour lunch to update my blog *see I so nice*

Been missing my mom lately, probably because since I have moved to Bukit Jalil, the thought of her being miles away from me hits me I guess. Will be visiting her later today right after my meeting with RTM.

My colleague and team mate, Hibat left recently, earlier than expected as he had to concentrate in his business leaving me managing all the artistes, and it is quite a handful. My trusted colleague, the pr exec,  is pathetic at time keeping, so here you see me in the office at 9, texting him at 10.30am checking where he is, he replies, near office already, and he comes in at 11.30. And the best part? He hardly is in even for half an hour, and he would have to leave to accompany the artiste to events. How to work? So as you can imagine, been doing almost 3 people’s work (mine, his and hibat who left)… and getting paid for one.. I sense something wrong here.

But thank god, my artistes are a nice bunch of people. No divas and certainly no pain in any part of my body, so should be thankful for that. Or perhaps they are like that, cause I get my job done. Hmm something to think about.

By the way, have lost some weight, at least 3kgs *deliriously happy*
