The weekend
Sunday, April 23rd, 2006The weekeend was here and it was mighty packed for me! Saturday, my sister wanted to get her new phone. So we head over to Low Yat Plaza with my niece as well and she got her phone, W550i. She could not get her hands off her new phone .. keke funny!
After that, we came home and we head over for dinner with mom, in Damansara Uptown. Since I am on this DIET, I just had chicken meat.. nothing else.. hey I need to start somewhere…
Saturday night, I booked tickets to watch the much anticipated Malay local production, GUBRA. This is a spin off from SEPET, for those of you who watch local movies *this is different*
The movie has it’s old cast with the old characters all back! Now, Orked is married, and as we know, Jason is dead! The movie this time was much more controversial than it’s latter. You can see at some scenes, it is Yasmin Ahmad talking, and not the actors, but it was all cool as there was a lot of message to be passed on the viewers. If you watch the movie with an open Malaysian mind, you would appreciate the movie, and a whole lot more. But if you are expecting the usual camera angles, close ups, and total waste of time drags, then please go watch a horror flick! I would give Gubra a 3* for story and a 5* for guts!
Sunday, hmmm the only thing I was looking forward to was the play, Habeas Corpus (did i get that right?). Watched with Boon How and David and my baby of course. First time meeting David, and it was fun!
Okay the play, it was all good! Funny and very chaotic! Very well done, a good director and excellent casts! All casts were able to play the accents and their individual characters well! Kudos to Dr. Wickstead, Terrence Swamipillai.
Right after the play, we headed to se7en. Nice bar with nice food *wink*. played some darts, a lot of laughs and a excellent company.
Now back to work, sleepy head!
